I noticed nix had a cable tie holding the intercooler piping back but others don't seem to have needed to do that. Just not sure if I need to trim one of the hoses. Possibly the one going to the intercooler to bring the hose closer to the centre of the car so it passes to the inside of the washer.

His zap tie issue I believe was cause he was one of the first kits. I believe he said that he mentioned the issue to avo and they corrected it

Not sure why the washer bottle issue still exists tho as I thought he told avo about that as well

Cheers. Just to be clear. It's not the washer bottle that is the problem. Rather it's the washer jets for the HID headlamps.

I've done the mod to lower the washer bottle down, so that is sorted. :-)

I had the same problem as well, but i did manage to fith the bumper back on with the headlight washer. It wasn't a perfect fit and there are a small gaps as well, but they still work after testing them out. Going to get back and post some pics later.

I still have my washer fitted - you can see it in the pictures here (the ic pipe has been held back via a cable tie)

I believe his solution was to drill out the hole a bit bigger and drop the washer fluid bottle down more.

Awesome. Do you know if some trimming was also required of the pipes or any other techniques such as sliding the silicone hose a long way up the pipe to the throttle body?
Just went down and bought some long cable ties so will give that a go but feels like a lot of force will be required to hold them back.

Only cars with the HID washers would have this problem. I spoke to Lee @ Avo and he suggested trimming the intercooler silicone hoses down to provide more clearance. I've already taken off 30mm from the right hand side (drivers in my country) and it has helped. I'm thinking cable tie for the rest. Could possibly take more that 30mm off but I don't want to get cocky. I took 15mm off the side with the washer fluid bottle.

As far as I know, no trimming is required ... I didn't had any problems with that pipe, but I tried to slide the hose as much as I could to the pipe is really close to the pulley.

To help you slide the hose to the pipe some ppl use hair spray or some kind of oil lubricant.

Edit: Got it! Here we don't have those, didn't know it was an issue.

As you can see without any adjustment the bumper would still fit, but not seated perfectly as it used to.

Yeah we used the biggest (widest) fuck off cable tie we can find and because the FMIC pipe was actually over length we were able to pull it back out of the way.

Then with the oil cooler install the way it mounted had to remove the washer assemblies, and crimp the lines, disconnect the pump etc.

Have since removed that oil cooler kit and gone back to washers for the time being.

@Pitman what shroud do you have for your oil cooler or where can I see more pics of it in action? I really should get on here more and read up on peoples threads ...

Edit ... I don't know if AVO ever addressed this. They generally said 'oh that's interesting, we never had that problem' whenever I reported any issues, but to their credit they seem to have made a lot of changes to the kit. They liked what I did with my car and were helpful and sent free replacement parts on anything that didn't fit properly or broke on me. I also had a nice long chat with Ross Wilson about the platform, my car, his car, and where ft86 is going.

That is a brilliant job and what I had considered doing many times, but with far less skill. Have you monitored your IATs with that setup and if so what peaks have you seen when the car is stationary and fully heat soaked (hopefully with a hot ambient)?

Yeah wishful thinking. It's hitting 45c here for the second summer in a row since I put my kit on.
