All good bud. Thanks. (personally, better off to go w/ a direct bolt on w/ the right offset and specs of wheels/tires) I'm looking forward w/ their plans though.

You shouldn't run spacers of any size without longer studs.

assuming you're running longer studs though, what difference is there between running a spacer and putting on wheels with less offset? Both will put extra load on your wheel bearings by extending out beyond the intended design. So anything with +33 ET or less will be same as 15mm+ spacers.

There is no difference. a 17x9 wheel et35 will have the same load as 17x9 et45 + 10MM spacers. The only reason to do it is to give wheels an offset they don't actaully come in.

I'm going to run 5MM spacers on my 17x9 RPF1s to give them an offset of 40, they only come in offsets of 35 and 45. I'm also ordering extended studs (10MM) with open ended lugs.

When running without extended studs it's very possible you'll cause a failure.

If done correctly (which hardly anyone ever does) spacers are safe. But running 10MM spacers without extended studs is pretty much asking to die a fiery death on the freeway.
