Trust me, they're definitely not too bright for night time. I actually rewired my DRL's to dim when my headlights were on. They matched the brighter boomerrangs perfectly when they dimmed.

Let's just say it's very involved and requires permanent modification to the stock wiring. If you mess it up, you will very easily fry the BCM or at least blow a few relays. But here's the wiring diagram. Try at your own risk.

So we did the last two BRZ's of our "brightening components" group buy yesterday. Along with blacking out the internal headlight housings. That's a total of nine BRZ's that we have successfully completed this boomerang upgrade on, with no issues. It's to the point where I could literally do this upgrade with my eyes closed...

Really? Lol, you obviously don't know what you're talking about.

The brightening mod is for the boomerang LED's, which are diffused through the acrylic "boomerang" within the headlight. Once modded, these are no brighter than the DRL's on the bumper.

Individuals that don't know how to properly use High beams is what blinds people.
