It was cool to see all the cars, but have to say, being a newcomer to the gathering, I kinda felt like an outsider. Only one person introduced themselves to me, a WRX owner named Brian. I'm on the more introverted side, but introduced myself to a few people, including our host Matt (2pt5rs).

Sat at a table in the restaurant with 7 others, and absolutely no one introduced themselves to me--the rest of the table was having their own conversations/jokes. I eventually talked to a WRX owner from NY who also seemed to be an outsider.

I'm not complaining--this is an informal social gathering, and no one has a responsibility to facilitate introductions, and we're not going to wear nametags. Just an observation. Next time, I'll make more of an effort to meet the BRZ/FRS owners. Would be good to see or give insight into things like tint, exhaust/intake choices, touch-up paint, clear bras, opticoat, backup cameras, tunes, stereo upgrades, engine bling, wheels/tires, etc.

Yeah, it's really informal. I saw you standing around before you came up to me and I meant to say hi, but others kept talking to me. Sorry about that! Next time, we'll try to get everyone included more.

Same here Zinzan. Met a few people. My first time at a meet of any kind. Rode in with boredom.is.me. Super nice guy, met a few others(Taz and a WRX guy, older gentleman-l'm terrible with names.) But l didn't realize it was more of a Subaru meet than 86. Either way, nice meeting some new people, seeing some ridiculously nice cars, and some hella good barbeque.
Prolly only be a once a month thing for me, especially if they're all an hour plus from the house.

Anytime you guys decide to hit up the mountain roads lemme know. That's my back yard.

Lol, my first meet as well luckily I'm not so introverted. I missed the bbq, but met some good people learned a little bit overall I can't wait to do it again

@Taz was there? I was looking for his buddy's Spec B, as I've got an out-of-town friend who picked up a Spec B, and wanted to see what he was bragging about.

Yeah, I didn't realize it was more than an FT86 gathering, but it was really cool to see the WRX's, especially since many of those guys have had more time for mods, etc. Plus, I have no experience with turbos, so maybe I'll learn something about them from these guys.

I made it (green wheels, sat with boredom and moose outside to eat) but the spec b had a pipe burst at his house. He swears he is going to make it to the next one.

I'm not introverted, and I appreciate the informality, but I could see a few people feeling awkward. Not sure how to make this type of meet more friendly to new people (like myself), but maybe we could take a few minutes during the meet and just let the host (?) do some kind of expert intro. This would be just to point out who in the group might know stuff about some high level topics... suspension, body, track days, autocross, engine. That would at least get some people near the groups they want to learn from. I really want to find people doing track days besides myself. Just a thought. I would be happy to gather the track day people and spill what I know.

yeah - I put them on for that night so I might fit in with all the cool people... it didn't work. I have the BFG Rivals on those wheels for track days, never even had them on the skreet before. I brought my family too, they rode in The Mistake. We all had a good time and look forward to the next meet.
