100,000 FR-S/86/GT86 sold!

Seems Toyota have just passed 100,000 GTs sold worldwide!

Quote:
The GT 86 managed to strike the most in three countries: Japan in first place with around 39,000 units sold so far, the US where some 35,000 owners found it ideal in city and on track and Australia with 10,000 units roaming on their streets already.

Nice. Now if we can keep those teenage drivers from wrecking, my insurance premium would love that!

Didn't Tada's Facebook have a thing for his birthday a few months ago saying that there were already over 100k units sold?

Big difference again... as the GT86 is pretty excpensive here (and pretty well equiped) they all seem to be mostly stock. People prefer Clio RS or Megan RS to do tuning (or ricing?)

Just don't wreck yours and once production is stopped, the 18 remaining (non-wrecked) 86's will be worth a lot! This should offset your insurance costs in the long run...

Not sure I really care. I enjoy being asked "What is that?" "What kind of car is that" "Who makes that?"

Its a Scion.

WOW

That's badass.

How much HP does it have? It doesn't matter. Drive it.

Its nimble, its light. It will make you smile. Even at the gas pump.

Its my daily driver and I chose it over a Mustang and a Camaro. I love them both but this car beats both on weight, MPG, and fun.
