Hey Guys,

I tried this tune for about 100km and a CEL popped up, read it, OFT says its p0420.

Have 2013 FRS with catless headers and OEM FP using stg 2 + tune right now. I am using the A01D file. Anyone else having this issue?

Weird. It shouldn't affect anything usability wise (except disabling cruise control), but it is cat efficiency check, that should be disabled in tune (you mentioned stg 2+ after all) that is made for catless headers.

I just opened up that file in rom raider and P0420 is not defined in the DTC list. I would email Shiv and let him know.

Edit: It is not in the regular stg 2 tune either.

For all 2012 - 2016 AT owners, add this to your definition for the P0420 option:

On top:
Code:
<table name="(P0420) CAT EFFICIENCY BELOW THRESHOLD" storageaddress="11C224" />
(open the def with notepad++ search for P0390, paste below it)

Bottem:
Code:
<table type="Switch" name="(P0420) CAT EFFICIENCY BELOW THRESHOLD" category="Diagnostic Trouble Codes" sizey="1">
<description>CATALYST SYSTEM EFFICIENCY BELOW THRESHOLD (BANK 1). To disable this DTC, make sure the box above is unchecked. Off-road use only.</description>
<state name="on" data="01" />
<state name="off" data="00" />
</table>
(again, search for P0390, paste underneath the </table>)

Does NOT work for 2017 AT

First off, many thanks for releasing new tunes for our cars and continuing support without upgrade fees or anything.

It's been at least a year since I last updated the tune on my car (stage 2 catted UEL, 91) to this version 4, everything feels good so far, butt dyno hasn't felt much difference, but it does seem smoother and quieter, which for me is a good thing.

Question: On the computer software side, I updated the manager and everything seems fine. However, I've noticed that it still shows the older HW and FW versions when I upload or connect the tablet to the computer. It does show the latest HW 1.35 and FW 1.50 on the tablet and upper right of the program. What gives? Did I not update it right? Or nothing to worry about?

Those numbers show the hardware and software revisions of the oft tablet itself.

You will need to download the v4 tunes from pft downloads page and then upload to tablet with openflash manager software

See oft tips link below

Added some corrected defs for V4 auto and manual tune 2012-2016 cars, the the first post in this thread

If you need to alter some tables not correctly defined the the OFT V4 2012-2016 tune see the attached definitions

Ignition timing idle in gear/neutral

or fix P0420 code not defined

maf after start tables

and a few others

You will need to open def in text editor for auto or manual as required and edit the calid string to your particular rom id like B01C or B01D as all V4 tunes are based on A01G or A01I roms now for 2012-2016 cars

DO NOT use these DEFS for 2017+ cars they are based on different rom base

I think I already know the answer, but I wanted to confirm. The tune runs fine without these tables being in the definition right? They would only be needed if editing was desired?

Thanks steve99, I thought I did though? You can see the two pictures where the manager app on the upper right it shows the latest versions, and the tablet itself shows the latest version as well.

When I opened the manager app it updated itself, then I went to the oft website and downloaded the latest tunes. Connected the tablet, it went through what seems like an update, then I deleted the old tunes and uploaded new ones. Updated car and everything shows fine, when I connect tablet to car it shows it has V4 tune.

Did I miss a step? Or should I delete everything and start over?

Thanks

So after driving around with the new V4 tunes on my 2013 Scion FRS AT I can say there are some noticeable differences. The loud cold start is pretty much gone now. The car shifts a little smoother overall. Don't really notice any difference in the torque dip but still glad that I updated to V4.

Yes all tables are actually in all tunes.

The definition just allows you to see them and edit correctly

A def is just an index into thte tune file

anybody know if we can still modify timing like in the older tunes to support the Crawford PowerBlock?

my car is in storage right now so i can't test it, but i wonder if it could interfere with any new modification done to the V4 tune
