I see what you did there!

We all know that's not gonna happen though. New badges, trim pieces, etc. When they could just dip their hand into a parts bin full of FR-S or GT86 and call it a day.

Secondly it would make no sense to revive the celica nameplate here and no where else. That IS a classic Toyota name.

Eh, I'm sure you already know this, but the Sprinter Trueno was offered as a notchback as well, even in the coveted GT-Apex trim everyone knows about.

Fwiw, the AE86 was the last generation of the Trueno where there was a liftback offered. The AE92, 101, and 111 generations were trunk only.


Not having a hatch version of the car shouldn't deter the use of that name. Now if Toyota just decided there needed to be a hatch version made, well....I'd buy that instead.

Toyota FRS cause then I wont needa purchase the "TOYOTA" badge. Just need the front/rear toyota emblem. And I get to keep the FRS logo lollll
