Window Alignment Issue

I have searched a few places online and haven't seen exactly the problem I am dealing with, so I figured I'd post here to hopefully find others with the issue, or bring light to it for anyone else who may find it in the future. I am getting the wind noise that a few people seem to get when going over 65 mph, although mine starts around 45 mph and doubles around 75 mph. However, I have noticed my case is due to the front triangular glass on the passenger side being about 1 mm lower than it should be. My car is a 2018 Toyota 86 and was purchased new about a month ago. I have returned to the dealer a couple of times, once to replace the weather strip and once to remove the door panels and play with the bolts to move this glass, but neither attempt fixed the problem. The dealer says they have created a tech report with Toyota to possibly get the engineering team involved and potentially create a TSB, but that seems to be a long process for what sounds to me like a simple fix. Has anyone else encountered this issue with the glass being slightly too low?

No problems on mine, go through the process so that others may get a TSB. You have a new car and any process that doesn't involve the dealer is a waste of your warranty.

Hello BDubbs4Bama and welcome to our helpful forum -

Bubba to the rescue!

Bubba says to just get some silicone, glob it around the space that is letting air in, smooth it off with your finger, forget about it and get on with your life.

See - fixed -

Solution

Well, after a few months of Toyota replacing the weather stripping to no avail, they finally decided to replace the assembly containing the small glass panel and attached rubber strip that runs down into the door. The sound seems to be gone, and unfortunately I will have to get the window retinted.
