215/60 on Stock 16” Rims?

So I posted here the other day after the max size and was kindly informed it’s 225/50. I’ve found good deals on a 215/60 however and I’m wondering how well they would fit the stock 16x6.5 rim?

What are your goals for fitting that much bigger diameter tires? Given lack of stock NA power, i'd probably wouldn't wish to slow down acceleration due gearing ratio change. If extra ground clearance is wished, i'd probably rather think of modifying suspension (eg. longer springs or topmount spacers or higher height coilovers).

A 215/60/16 may fit just fine on a 16x6.5 wheel, but they are too big for the car at 26.2". (oem diameter is 24.6")

Additionally at almost 6% larger than OEM; this is double the MAX recomended difference of 3%.

One thing is fitting on wheel .. another, if it won't rub somewhere on wheel arch or suspension parts
