I'm just confused. So our car is originally a 4-seater, but if I always have the back seats down, would it be able to be a 2-seater making it able to drive in the carpool with a passenger? I know it says factory designed vehicles, but my backseat is useless to me regarding passengers so I always leave it down for luggage since I travel to cencal a lot
folding the seats down does not make it a 2-seater. otherwise people driving minivans could pull all their seats out or fold them down and call it a 2-seater.

The 2 seater rule is to allow true 2-seaters (i.e. Boxster/Cayman, Miata, S2000, MR2 Spyder) that are fully occupied, to be able to use the carpool lane even in the 3+ zones.

17/255/40?

I'm trying to figure out what tire sizes to get for my Gramlights once they arrive.

Yes 255/40/17. What is the size and offset of the wheels you're getting? 17x9? I'd prob recommend 245/40/17 if you're not racing and and they are 17x9 et35-45. That's what I have for DD on my 17x9 grids.

Got sent to Sunnyvale from Alameda today, and seeing that it's 8/6, decided to make the most of it on the way back.

Hit up Palomares, Redwood, and Pinehurst. Unfortunately each road had traffic on it even at 4:30-5:30pm on a weekday. Had an empty stretch on Palomares for a bit and evan had a relative in my rear view keeping up with me easily:
