Yep as in the right thing. I think I'm out though. No-one else that I know is going. Most of my AE86 people are going next week to the SYR 86 meet in Oakland instead. I'm definitely going to that.

If there isn't we should make one!

I think I'm gonna go to autoX Sunday morning in marina if anyone wants to go. It's my least favorite club (UFO) but its really good for beginners because the courses usually aren't to technical/vague. I'd be down to help newbz.

UFO Club is good because the courses are simple so you can spend more time figuring autoX out and less time figuring out where you're going and which cones are which. Plus the club is newb friendly in general.

Kind of glad I didn't end up going out last night. I wouldn't have walked out on my balcony for a minute and realized I can see the big dipper from it pretty easily on a clear night.

After living in the middle of nowhere in Michigan there are not many places around the bay where stars can impress me. I'm sure they're amazing out in the Central Valley though.

You have to drive pretty far north or south to see them for real. The cool part about this was just that the dipper was so clear and visibly framed by the balcony.

Unfortunately, there's usually too much light around the cities to be able to see stars, even in the central valley. Even the close by coastal ranges like the Santa Cruz mountains get too much light from the nearby south bay to get good stars. Best place to see stars are at the more remote areas, specially at the sierra's.

on a clear night up in the Hayward Hills sometimes I can see an amazing number of stars. But yeah I bet from a place like Yosemite it's awesome.

on another unrelated (off topic) note...

am I the only one who thinks putting teeth on a car is cool? I would love to make my BRZ look like a shark. My nickname for my old red SW20 was RedShark. My BRZ could undergo a transformation from Stitch to... BlueShark.

Some miata guys put shark teeth in the opening in front of the radiator. Gives it a different look.

You can only put teeth on your car if its 15 years old or older. You'll have to wait.
