I posted this in the Upstate SC thread, thinking I might create a new thread if there is enough interest:

My buddy and I are planning another Deals Gap/Tail Of The Dragon weekend. October 25th and 26th. Who might be interested? We'll spend the night somewhere up there and drive both days. Besides TOTD there are many other epic drives in that area and we'll plan to take advantage of all of them. Let me know if you'd be interested and I can get some details together. We're hoping to have lots of BRZ/FR-S drivers attend!

New BRZ owner in Greensboro. Didn't make it back from the dealer in time to go to C&C this weekend, but will definitely make it in the future.

I just went out to the GoPro Motorplex kart track in Mooresville and had a great time.


Any one wanting to head out there or just go for drive sometime send me a msg.

Awesome! If you go again, let me know and I'd love to caravan up there. Anybody do any events in and around the Triad besides C&C?

Sure thing! And Crosscharge and I got together for a drive awhile ago, but it seems to be tough to get anyone else together for anything

There is an Autocross group here in the Triad.

Other than C&C, not that I have found. The Raleigh and Charlotte guys seem to have regular meet ups.


We can start small, but I think we can get a Triad meet up/cruise group going.


We are right in the middle and can end up in either larger city or the mountains in about an hour and half; lots of options

In case any twins owners are interested, a friend of mine is hosting a poker run, details below:

"Gone to the Dogs" Poker Run
Saturday, October 18 at 10am
Statesville High School
474 N Center St, Statesville, NC 28677

About: This is a fun event driving your four wheeled vehicle of any type on a predetermined route at your own pace enjoying beautiful autumn colors on scenic country roads while stopping periodically to receive more playing cards for your poker hand.

Proceeds to benefit the following Iredell County Animal Service programs: 4 Paws Spay/Neuter Program, Shelter Enrichment Program and TNR Program.

$10 donation per entry. Option to discard one card and draw a sixth card for $5 at the end of the run.

Registration 10am-12pm. First car out 12:30pm, last car in 4:00pm and food will be available for purchase afterwards.

I've gone on photo rallys and other routes with these guys before and they always plan terrific routes on great roads. Not sure if I'm going to make it since I have to run a half marathon the next day, but wanted to put it out there for anyone else interested.
