For others, tap oil pan for temperature sensor before you silicone it on and install engine.

Also wish I would have tapped head for temperature sensor but I can put it in the water neck.

Giving up VTEC? I can't imagine the stock BRZ ECU can handle swapping cam profiles.

Just use a vtec killer setup. Then you're always in vtec

I imagine driveability in town would suck with a setup like that?

It'd be like driving a cammed up 4 cyl car, I suppose? Not terrible, unless you were in daily stop and go traffic...

It's just driving a cammed 4cylinder. Drivability will suffer a little but you'll make more power. I doubt you would notice a problem

While I was wiring the coils from the stock brz harness I found that the coils are powered by one little ~20 22 gauge wire. For you performance guys you might gain some ign power by adding another supply to the coils.

So I found the no crank problem. I didn't plug the mid connector up for the starter solenoid wire. It has a few codes ,like for the exhaust cps that I don't have. but I think I can disable the codes and be good. I can rev it a couple of times then it goes into limp mode and disables the Throttle body.

Just haven't figured out what I'm going to do about can bus. Lol.

Hope nobody tells it that its running a honda.

Tell you truth I'm probably more surprised it ran than anybody. Figured I would have to adjust cps and crank sensor clearances and timing. Had plans on buying an oscilloscope to time it all.

May have more codes once I get the ones I have now sorted out but things are looking good.

Cam sensors is honda and crank sensor is a ford f150 machined to sit a little deeper with a extra o ring. Crank reluctor ring is from a ej with the timing belt pulley machined off.

Timing was set by eyeball looking down the holes and centering the reluctors.
