What the hell is the hurry? The plane isn't leaving before everybody is on and there is zero benefit to get to seat 18A two minutes faster than everybody else.
So many people take over-sized and multiple items onto planes that getting on first is important because you're guaranteed to get space for your carry-on. Then you can avoid the hassle of waiting for 30 minutes to an hour for your bags to show up on a carousel. My entire family, including the kids, walks onto every flight with a single rolling piece of carry-on luggage. In addition, my wife has her purse. I have my backpack to put under the seat in front of me. Oftentimes each kid also carries a single plastic shopping bag. We end up getting to the taxi line/shuttle/rental counter/parking lot pay kiosk first, all as we watch a line of people stack up behind us. I'd say it's worth at least an hour on average for each leg of each trip, and that's an hour of painful waiting in line, wishing people were more competent and less stupid. Those are awful hours. Of course it doesn't always work, but it does over 50% of the time. Maybe over 75%.

It's like driving aggressively. Driving highly aggressively saves me 2-4 minutes over driving normal, and another 5 minutes over driving politely. Multiply that by two trips a day, 365 days a year (some days I miss, but some days I go out multiple times, and we're saving hours of my all-too-short life to do the things I love, like be in Hawaii or yell at my children to get along better as they build the Millennium Falcon Lego set.

I lost my bags 3 times now.
Once I got $140 compensation and a 10 hour wait for their return.
On balance I would do that again!

Wow there Jsi sounds like you may be the poster child for the American stereotype.
I take the opposite view on almost all your methods. I get to the airport and check my luggage and stroll over to security with nothing to haul around. I watch in silent amusement while everybody franticly get's their carry on ready for screening and chuckle softly as they fight to manage to get it off the end of the belt the split second it passes through the x ray. I then slowly saunter down to my gate while dodging the families pulling obviously grossly over sized "carry on" bags that they can hardly manage and again chuckle as the father screams at the kids to hurry and the mother is showing certain signs of rising blood pressure. Once at the gate I scope out the nearest food or beverage location and pick up something to tide me over. Since I am unencumbered with a pile of luggage I have both hands free and can easily grab what I want and go find a seat. Once at the seats and I manage to get through the maze of people with enough luggage to fill a minivan that they are guarding as if it was the crown jewels of Lower Slobovia I sit down and read a book (well nowadays post on here) without having to pay attention to a thing. About half an hour before boarding I am once again brought back to the real world by American Dad screaming at the family to get the stuff together and get in line so they can get overhead space. The big issue there is that there are usually 20 or 30 dads with the same plan so you know things are going to get interesting. Once boarding starts and they all rush in to try to scoop the best storage area I just sit back and mentally ridicule them all. I wait until boarding is almost done and then simply walk on and sit down. By doing this I have avoided all the chaos as the family fought to cram their oversize bags into the overhead, cram their backpacks and plastic bags under the seats and in general stress themselves and others out because the 20 other families are again trying to do the exact same thing. Once on the ground I just sit in my seat while the whole process happens in reverse. By this time American Dad is wound right up because they must be the first to the cab stand. American Mom usually looks like they will totally break down at any second. Once all is clear I leave the plane and head to the baggage claim staying well to the side so that the stampeding hoard that feels if they get there first their bags will magically appear. I watch as the Carryon family franticly get's into a 5K foot race with the other 20 Carryon families so they can be first in line for a cab. Again Mr Carryon is invariably screaming at his poor family to hurry up. Once at the luggage carousel I wait in the back and watch for mine to show up. I wait until all the seemingly desperate people push each other out of the way and grab it. In hundreds of trips I have never once waited longer than 20 minutes for my luggage and as a stress relieving measure I consider that a great time investment. I then head over to the car rental and move into the prebooked line where I painlessly get my vehicle. I then drive to the hotel in a normal and nonaggressive manner since saving 5 minutes of my life does not make risking myself or others worthwhile. Many, many times when I get to the hotel who do you think is in front of me waiting to check in? Yep, Mr Carryon and his poor disheveled family.
In summary, to ME, the reduction in stress by not trying to hammer my way through the system is worth the 20 minutes longer that it actually takes to check my luggage and be free to do as I please.

Less stress from not being a jerk on the road (or while flying) gains you more life than you (lose) ... And the quality of your wasted time is better too.
@Tcoat I'd have expected your example family to rent an oversized SUV which won't actually be there when they get to the counter... Lovely yelling ensues. So they show up in a still uselessly large midsize SUV. Cabs are for losers.
