I paid a visit to ARK performance this morning and got to meet the guys there and see prototype. They got to test fit the exhaust and see if the test pipe (mid pipe) fit the AT. Unfortunately, the version they had doesn't fit the AT, but they said they're going to make some adjustments and have one that will in the near future.

First, let me just say that the guys there are all stand up guys and really nice guys. The owner even turned the wrench on my test fit. They test fit the system. The quieter GRIP system (think low key). The GRIP exhaust is high quality and well built. Looked and sounded really good too. Their facility is quite big, clean and had all the prerequisite tools/lifts/etc. Before I left another guy with a FRS showed up too to do a test fit. Although I took some pictures and videos, I'll leave the guys at ARK to release any official photos/vids/info.

In either case, I was really impressed with the guys/their facility/products. I don't think you guys will be disappointed with their exhausts. I wasn't! :happy0180:

No. IT WILL FIT THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. Their current test pipe (delete for the cat, i.e. "mid pipe") won't fit the AT, but they are currently working on a fix and should have one that fits in the near future.

So the ARK GRIP cat back exhaust will fit both the MT & AT. Let's make that clear.

The test pipe (mid pipe) is pretty much for track use only so yes that would make it illegal for street driving . This pipe will (should) improve exhaust air flow and can make HP gains. If your looking to make your car faster then this complete set up will help. If your just looking for a nice sound then the cat back will do.

This is true, but keep in mind for those of you looking for "sound" there will most likely be a slightly different (deeper) sound if you add the test pipe. It should be slightly louder overall as well.

Yes that is true but all I'm saying is if you have an A/T a cat back would be fine. They sound great.

That is correct. Catback fits all BRZ/FRS models. Testpipes are what we are currently working on
