Also, these wheels only allow either a 35 or a 45. Which would be better? I believe a 35 wheel would have too much poke.
+45 with 5mm spacer = +40 net offset

Get ARP extended studs to go with that, and open ended lug nuts, so you have a safe amount of thread engagement.

You'll see a lot of cornering grip. The JRZ RS will take care of the handling.

If you want to make a purchase, let us know.

I was always certain this guy was a troll...I still think he is.

"How about those sportline lines with Koni inserts or the kW v3?" - Troll

"You're comparing a Jetta to a Cayman." - CSG Mike

"So the kW are not as good. Will 245 all around work with stock suspension for now?" - Troll

$4-5k budget, wants street style Enkeis, eibach springs and Koni shocks....

Would negative camber improve handling? If so, How many degrees?

why would you consider me a troll? Honestly I'm a noob when it comes to tires so mikes support is very much appreciated.

You'll need to determine that via pyrometer. -3 front and -2.5 rear is a good starting point for a serious setup.

Ok sounds good. Does that affect straight line handling/grip? Also, Would you recommend any other wheels that don't go over 1,100-1,500 bucks. trying to conserve my money for other suspension mods like the coilovers.

If you're willing to spend more, the WedsSport TC105N is AWESOME for the price.

Yes, you'll lose some straightline grip (particularly braking), but it's more than made up for by cornering gains.

Note: You need a probe pyrometer, not a laser pyrometer. This one is worth considering: http://www.longacreracing.com/produc...15&prodid=7339 and it's cheaper here: http://www.longacreracing.com/Userfi...BC_catalog.pdf All my Longacre tools came out of their refurb catalog.

Be aware that to use a pyrometer properly, you need someone to operate it for you in the hot pits. In a street car, you can get out of the car fast enough to do it for yourself. Understand that the faster you collect the data after you exit the track, the more useful it will be.

question: whats the disadvantage with running 245 I'm worried that with wider tires the car is going to want to move with the grooves of the road. Also with a offset of 45 on 245 tires would that require a 5mm spacer?

To be safe, yes.

Less MPG is the disadvantage.

Tramlining (sticking to grooves) is the penalty you pay for having stickier tires.

So basically if I went with a tire with a 40 or 35 offset I wouldn't need spacers
