Question Supercharger on automatic cars

Are superchargers (not turbo chargers) bad for a car with an automatic car? Im sorry if thats a stupid question. Thanks.

Well...simple answer for bolt-on smog legal superchargers is "No". Now if you're looking at uber high powered FI setups, then you may want to determine what your goals are.

Neither is bad for an automatic car. All depending on what kind of power you want out of it. Remember wheel torque is what kills transmissions not wheel horsepower.
