C6 Vette curb weight 1510kg - 430hp, power to weight = 0.129
C6 Z06 curb weight 1420kg - 505 hp, power to weight = 0.161
McLaren MP4 12C curb weight 1434 kg - 605hp, power to weight = 0.191
FR-S curb weight 1298kg - 200 hp, power to weight = 0.070

FR-S curb weight 1298kg - 430 hp LS2, power to weight = 0.151
FR-S curb weight 1298kg - 505 LS7, power to weight = 0.177

FWIW a 350hp FR-S's power to weight ratio comes out dead on with a stock C6 vette and it'd be both cheaper and simpler to get that out of a boosted FA20 versus a swap.

So, for $25k on an LS2 swap you'd come out behind a stock C6 Z06 and power to weight wise and you'd still be a ways off the McLaren.

And of course that's all assuming that the FR-S doesn't gain any weight during the swap, extra mods needed to handle the power, etc.

It's make a tantalizing car on paper but I'm not convinced that the expense is justified. 50k swapped FR-S with inferior performance for used C6 Z06 money doesn't quite add up and even a 'monster' FR-S would still be outgunned by really serious machinery.

Up until just now I was unaware of the costs that would need to happen for this. So I'm immediately opting out. I do need to find a way to get my turbo to spool sooner because the lag is killing me. I could also upgrade the fuel pump and injectors and get some more power.

Twin charge with one of those electric superchargers. Won't make the turbo spool any faster but you won't notice it. Not sure how you would set it up though, you would need to keep the normal turbo from putting too much pressure on the backside of the ESC.

I'm just gonna upgrade fuel pump and injectors and go E85. Probably get another 75whp or so.

This is also my DD so I don't really want more than 75whp. Plus my clutch can only handle so much. Same with tranny, diff, axles, etc, etc. I'm not in the business to be replacing parts weekly

I promise you do not want to know how they do it though... They do not have the cruise control working, nor traction control. I do not believe they have been able to eliminate all of the trouble codes so the CEL stays on all the time.

After my terrible experience with my previous shop,...this is in the works with Vorshlag. Unlike weapons grade this will be turn key with all the gauges working with custom headers and exhaust, Tremec T56XL direct shifter. Read the foot notes below the pictures,....I definitely agree.
Your gauges and everything will be working. I guarantee that much. As will the Pure Automotive FRS very soon...

I've been working with Jason up at Vorschlag and Ryan let me do some testing on his G8. When I get finished, the gauges will be fully operational without unnecessary hardware modifications to the LS motor, cruise control will work, and the need to replace the gas pedal will be eliminated. Fully functional traction control might also be possible...

I saw your car Friday. I'm very excited about it.

My car will not be in the inferior performance department to any stock vette, and why not just buy a vette? Because I see three or four of them a day on my drive to work, mostly driven by middle aged women, they bore me.... I love the FT86 platform, but want the torque and power it deserves naturally aspired....N/A means reliability to me. This is going to be a natural aspired track day monster that can run lap after lap RELIABLE burning pump gas and a DD.....stock LS with a cam and stronger valve springs....suspension components and control arms have already been sorted.....Vorshlag is shoving the engine as far back to the firewall as possible,....im betting the end balance,....front to back,.....corner to corner will actually improve from stock with the FA20.

Sell your D3PE kit and buy a Full Blown kit with a GT2817R like my car had. Or just swap your turbo out for a GT28/GTX28.
