Thank you for your service and good luck with returning the lease. I agree with the above post - get a real GT86 and ship it back with you when you come home safely.

False. Depending on the lease and buyout agreement, it can cost exactly the same as getting a great deal with the flexibility of choosing to buy outright at the end of the lease or walking away and having lost just as much as you would have on depreciation. On the other hand, you can get screwed on a lease exactly as you can purchasing a car.

I think we will be able to either return it or sell it problem is its our only car so we dont want to get rid of it to soon.

We are very excited though even if I cant take the car there im hoping to buy something super sick over there!

Im air force and going to misawa
i got a buddy in misawa right now...doesnt like it much, although he compares it to yokosuka where we were both previously stationed at. one thing i can say is your going to make a ridiculous amount of money...so much that you could save up and come back 2 years later and buy an frs/brz outright and still have money to do whatever while your there. not sure if you like snowboarding either but there is plenty of resorts in driving distance.

btw word on the street is that gt86's are a 6mth backorder...take the frs and sell over there...

I'm in the air force(air national guard) and I've heard you can terminate your lease if you are being deployed...

BTW I'm leaving to basic jan 2nd! I'm hoping to deploy to japan too, the Air Force seems to send a lot of people down there.

No way drill was way fun, the worst part in my opinion was just being away from home and my wife but she sent me a letter everyday that helped a lot ... if u havent done so yet start getting used to saying... "sir/ma'am trainee (insert last name here) reports as ordered" oh and even if your not religious id suggest hitting up church on sundays it makes the day go by a bit easier. U could even try out different religions each week. Feel free to pm me if u have any questions.
