Looking good Andrew. Great to see that you picked up a twin for yourself.

This is about 13 inches center of wheel to fender arch (bottom edge of lip). So, actually a little low honestly but plenty of room to go higher or lower. Lots of threads left in either direction and lots of spring travel left.

Love the wheel!

For shift knobs- check out Voodoo Knobs. They're legendary in the Miata world, and he makes them for the twins as well. I've got one, and absolutely love it. Beefy, but aluminum so it's not crazy heavy. Slightly heavier than stock, smooth action, and fits in the hand really well.

Winter updates:

1. Check out the prototype RCE Safari springs...I'm just messing with you I was playing around with the lift while putting on my winter wheels/tires.

BUT we've been talking a lot about THAT project and we have a path forward. The Rallyx/Safari suspension thing has been interesting and I'm optimistic it will actually happen. Lots of strings to pull to get this done as this is not our usual project but we have some great partners with a lot of knowledge and experience. Trying to get a first prototype spring early next year for my car.

-------------------------------------------

2. Check out my new prototype RCE carbon fiber wing....I'm just messing with you again. Myles got a S207 wing for his 2019 STI and we imagined what it would look like on my car.

-------------------------------------------

3. The car with RCE SS1 coilovers and all the toppings and 205/55/16 Blizzaks is some of the most fun you can have at reasonable speeds in a Subaru. Just an absolute blast. Even more so in the rain, which we've had seemingly every day here in MD since I've put them on.

Anyway. More to come soon. I ordered a shift knob. I'll be ordering brake calipers soon too.

The real question is...which 15 inch wheels do I run? And white wheels or gold?

I have another recommendation if you care

The fifteen52 Integrale wheels. Those are basically Lancia Delta wheels but I always loved the look of them.

Love the look! But I don't think they'll make them in 15 inch sizes (I know I'm a little crazy for going for a 15 inch wheel lol). Compomotive might have the classic version in the right fitment but I'm worried it will be a million dollars.

I also vote gold for the wheels--and I like the dynamic design the best.

I'm very excited for the rally X springs, every since I started that thread. Very much looking forward to what you guys come up with.

I think the dream for me is basically to have a Lego-style set up: rce yellows with bilstein/whatever shocks for sport driving, then another set of stock shocks for the rally x springs and corresponding 16 or 17'' wheel/tire combos for dirt and winter, with the camber bolts and LCA's so that it's basically just a swap job depending on what you want.

Good job on the car! Looking forward to updates

Got some snow here over the weekend and also drove around some massively salted roads earlier this winter. Since I had the car on the lift yesterday I decided to spend 30 seconds cleaning my RCE SS1s and I was pretty pleased with how they look with minimal effort! I should have taken a before picture...these things were absolutely caked in salt. Very happy with how the finish is holding up.

They look good! What's your usual cleaning process for them? Damp MF cloth?

Thanks! I spray them with a light cleaner that's not aggressive (like don't use brakecleen) and wipe down with microfiber cloth.

Hey Andrew--got to thinking today:

What would be the difference functionally in doing RCE yellows on stock or bilstein struts for street work then adding an ADF 2'' lift spacer on top for "offroad" set up vs going with the rally X springs from the get go? If the yellows drop 30mm or so, then the 2'' spacer basically gives you the same "lift" the rally X springs were going for right? Would this be a viable modular set up for switching between different driving modes?
