Both accelerate quickly while simultaneously sending me to sleep. My NA Miata is 10 times more fun to drive and it has less than half the horse power and its WAY slower.

I actually have the opportunity to buy a 20000 mile 2009 G37 for $25000 right now and I just can't do it. There is nothing exceptional about that car and it's not as pretty as the G35 was.

Note: I hated my G35 too.

I would fall asleep in your NA while driving that torqueless car. The GC might not be sharp around a corner as your NA but I find it fun to drive in comparison to your car.

Fixed. The aftermarket will completely ignore the 3.8.

Most of the time is true, but it's not that the new new model starts to grow on people. It's because old model owners don't want to accept the fact that the new are way nicer than their current ride. People don't want to feel being jibbed. But of course there are exceptions where old are much more desirable than the new replacement.

Toyota AE86 vs AE92
Bmw e30 m3 vs e36 m3
Ducati 998 vs 999
Porsche 993 vs 996

Love everything about the new GC 3.8, just not sure about the handling and gearbox. Have to wait until extensive road test reviews. But no matter what, the GC is probably designed as a softer grand tourer. Hyundai loves to benchmarked or clone their competitor's products like Equus to LS; Azera to Avalon; Veracruz to RX; Elantra to Civic; Accent to Yaris; GC to G37, etc....

Since I don't like the G37 at all, so most likely I won't get the GC.

I know hyundai is no where near Porsche territory, but wouldn't it be awesome if they ever decide to clone a cayman R for 40k. Or build a halo car to rival GTR performance and sell it at 70k. I know i am hallucinating.....

There is a video around of a Miata frustrating a Viper on a small track.
i cant believe anybody is buying this. honestly think about it for just a little bit. weight plays a role in such a significant way. ever notice how you can buy a street legal motorcycle off the showroom floor that will rip the face of just about any car in the world. while jets dont really have horsepower, a 747 has to have upwards of 10k hp equivalent but it doesnt accelerate faster than even the slowest of modern cars

Heavy cars faster?
Ariel Atom Supercharged is ~300hp ~1250lb. It's instant response supercharger, not turbo.
Edit: With or without FI, lighter cars will enough power will be and feel faster than heavier cars.

That would make for one hell of a car and driver comparison test.

Lol. They've done it before, I believe it was an f22 raptor vs a corvette zr1. Its idiotic. A remote controled car will get from 0 to 5mph faster than any car or cycle, a motor cycle wil accelerate faster than almost any car, a car will accelerate faster than any jet plane, a jet plane will accelerate faster than any space shuttle on liftoff. So what? Lol race you from california to japan, you in your motocycle me in a 747. Idiotic comparison.
On my phone at work excuse typos plz lol
