Just pick-up some red tint paint and spray the tail lights. It's easy to take off them.

Most people either use VHT paint which you can pick up at your local pep boys or autozone which is reversible by rubbing gasoline. Or you can find a body shop and ask them if they smoke out taillights, find out if they put the lights in the oven room before spraying them (ensures quality) and they finish it up with a coat of clearcoat to give it a manufacturer smoked look which is irreversible as far as i know.

Get them done professionally. I don't trust VHT, plus they give you a dull matte look.

Wet sand + polish will clear up the matte look, but +1 to getting it done professionally.

And you never want to sand the lights even wetsanding it causes tiny scratches on the plastic to where if you ever wanted to take the vht night shades spray off you would see all the iimperfections. thanks appreciate it.

I do this professionally as well. And if you do not wet sand or at least scuff pad the lights before paint you will get piss poor adhesion. I had my shops page listed in my sig but mods removed it . I am an automotive painter and have done plenty of custom lights. Mostly VW/Audi since that's what I specialize in. I have done my own frs tail lights though. If anyone wants more info on the process email me. Spitfire481@gmail.com . Not looking to get yelled at again by posting my shops info

thats temporary. if you dont keep wet sanding and polishing every 3-4 months it comes back. I had mine looking real glossy and it loses it

That looks fantastic! I'd love to have this done one day. It's the proper way to do it and it shows.
