Replace faulty OBD2 port?
Apologies if this is in the wrong section....wasn't sure if I should post here or in the electronics section.
Need advice/help. I think I may possibly have a bad OBD2 port. I've been using the OFT for 2 years without issues (mostly left it plugged in to reduce wear on the connectors and pins). Recently switched to Ecutek and initially everything worked well, but today the ecutek cable keeps flickering and unable to sustain communication with the OBD. Basically when I try logging, it would pop a message saying "Map Access Error: No Response to OBD Request". Ecutek cable itself if brand new. I suspect the female pins in the OBD port is faulty and causing the issue. Question is....how difficult is it to replace the OBD port? Is it part of the main wire harness? Or can it be disconnected further upstream and replace the OBD harness and port only? |

I may be wrong but I've read of communication issues after uninstalling the OFT and going to ECUTEK.
Hope someone with more knowledge chimes in. |

Have you confirmed that it's not the USB port? Also is this a new tune file you've created and not used your old OFT file in some form?

I wasn't able to plug in the OFT to rule out ecutek cable issue as I've sold the OFT already. I've already successfully flashed 3 revisions and taken about 5 logs without issues on this cable without any issues.
