Lightbulb Trailer for my Nina - 2013 Scion Frs (M O D S) & More.

So in a nutshell.
We went on a road trip a few months ago to pick up a trailer. Picked it up from Edmonton.. I live within Durham in Ontario. Crazy, but crazy wicked.
Its called: Prolite Suite, ours is only 2 years old. Weighs in at said 550lb dry weight. (Since update/reno to install cabinets and tv, etc add another 85lb give or take 5-10lb lol)Ive got a hitch (bought and installed with the right tools, myself).
Have a look.
Have Questions, ask below.

^ ^ ^

We got it upgraded so the inside looks like this on one end and a bed on the other(UPGRADES PENDING).

We have 4 x 100Watt Solar Panels here going to be putting them on the roof (only 3 will probably fit) this coming summer. 2 x 12/24v Solar Controllers and all the wiring.

After that, new trailer vinyl wrappings/decals (already arrived) are going to be installed (wife don't like skulls like I do) and perforated black window tinting on all windows (also already arrived) .. Dang winter. Im lazy. The solar pannels will be installed by my trusted friends at Roulottes Prolite in Laval, Montreal who always get the job done right the first time.

Thread will be updated as time goes on.

Interesting.

* does it have electric brakes?

* how does it effect your fuel mileage?

* how well does it "follow"?

Your wife must be more "flexible" than mine - no way mrs humfrz would sleep in that thing -

Not good for me because I could never back that rig up without backing into something -

No, I'm not going to ask the question "why drive a "sports car" if you're gonna drag that thing around behind it"?

Love the little trailer, It looks really fun! I have wondered if anyone was pulling a camper with their twin.

My wife and I met a couple with a vintage lil' Scotty last summer. It was really cool!

* does it have electric brakes? -no

* how does it effect your fuel mileage? -depending on where i place the majority of the weight, it does about 300km per tank (picked up the trailer from alberta. tested facts)

* how well does it "follow"? -almost feels like nothing is behind me, follows well.

Your wife must be more "flexible" than mine - no way mrs humfrz would sleep in that thing .. -youd be surprised. its much more spacious then it looks

No, I'm not going to ask the question "why drive a "sports car" if you're gonna drag that thing around behind it"? -well, because people said it could not be done. and.. im not buying another car just to be able to go camping/road trips. i have a 6mo old daughter and I want to keep her from getting sucked into the social media crap as she gets older. the plus side to this is that everyones eyes are stuck like glue to my trailer as we drive past them.. its no joke, lol.

-also,I have the tags so that search engines can find this thread and my hope is that I am able to reach more viewers and inspire those whom are wondering on the plausibility that such a setup even works. not everyone is on this fourm and for people new to this field of thought, I'm sure they appreciate it, its always scary being the first one to do something this wild.

MRT, thanks for addressing my questions.

As they say, to each his own. Story time (short).

Between 6 and 10 years ago my brother and his wife and my wife and I, were doing quite a bit of long distance traveling. We were all in our 60s.

He traveled with a large pickup truck pulling a large 5th wheel trailer. His trailer even had a "garage" in the back of it, where he housed his Honda Valkyrie (read large) motorcycle.

mrs humfrz and I traveled in a NC Miata.

Our trips (not traveling together - for obvious reasons) would last from 2-4 weeks and range from 5-10,000 miles.

Yep, different traveling styles for different folks fer sure.

I have pulled both single axle and dual axle trailers (behind HD pickup trucks), for thousands of miles. I have found that everything is OK - as long as everything is OK - iffen ya get ma drift.

Well, have fun on your adventures and be safe -
