It looks like a RHD car as well, likely to be an Australian car.

Off-topic, I wish Nissan would put a VR38 into a Z34 so we could get a modern 432. Or maybe a 432R.

This. All of this.

I can't speak for the VQ35HR but why the VQ35DE? That engine regularly needs it's timing chain guides replaced due to breakage and the job is a m-effer.

Honestly its not actually a hard job outside of a Z. Having swapped a VQ35DE into a 240 its not bad of a job. Definitely something I would do with the motor out.

I had to do the tensioner repair in a 2005 Maxima; that was a pain. I just wouldn't swap in an engine that has that serious of a flaw that has not been rectified by OEM or the aftermarket. You are definitely right that replacing the tensioner would be a lot easier once it is swapped into the twins.

Depends on what you want from the car. I would never do a v8 swap cause I don't think you could keep the handling characteristics(maybe I don't know what they have done lately though.)

If I ever swapped it would be no more then a v6 in hopes of keeping it fun around corners when driving around town. To me, thats worth the money. Not everything is about power.
