A few changes over the weekend, had the transmission and differential fluid changed with Motul Gear 300. I'm at about 26,000 miles and the diff oil was pretty gross, but the trans oil looked good. Also had a set of stainless brake lines installed and went with Motul brake fluid.

My 6UL's also came in, so I went ahead and mounted the tires I had waiting up and installed them on the car. I love the Tungsten color and dig the aggressive look.

Also I went ahead and installed a couple Driveway Labs decals on the strakes of the v2a, copying @Gunman's style

You can find on amazon or ebay. I got from ebay since it had a promo coupon last time. There are 3 models: 50-genk8a (just auto- dimming feature), 50-genk80a (mine), 50-genk85a (full option which includes compass). Keep in mind, I had the optional auto-dimming + compass mirrors from the factory which I believe is made by gentex. They look the same (older gentex model) but the connector didn't fit. I just hid the connector near the dome light and had to splice the harness. Gentex supplies harness, which I just took the connector part and unplugged the rest and used 3 wires with some kinda pin socket? found at fry's and connected to the other end and taped to the spliced harness. 12v constant was connected to the dome light wiring. Also, you will need to get the mirror mount adapter: H501SSA041 if is BRZ. FRS had different mount I believe.

Just 3M Pinstriping tape (vinyl). Clean the area and apply - easy peasy

I'm curious, where did you pick this up/how much was it? I just moved into a place with a garage and would like to upgrade to a frameless homelink mirror but the pictures I've seen of the OEM one look weird because of how thick it is. This looks way better and I may pick it up.

Added chrome fender trim. Not sure if I'll keep it though. Now that it's on the car, I feel like it breaks up the lines a bit too much. We'll see...

I returned it to Subaru at the end of my lease
Just couldn't justify spending another $20k CAD on a 3-yr old car with 75,000 km.

Spent the last 3 days under the car returning it to stock (removed Injen intake, MTEC shift springs, TRD quick shifter and replica OEM diffuser myself, but had to get help with the axle back because the bolts were rusted/corroded/broken).

Also had a brain fart and snapped a few bolts here and there (for anyone modding in a location where road salt is used, I *strongly* recommend using anti-seize on anything you're bolting on - especially if it is under the body).
Installing the components was waaaaaay easier than taking them off.

Driving the car again in stock configuration, I was reminded of how much better mods can make the car. In fact, the difference was so stark that, from the moment my mods were off, I really felt like I was in a totally different car.
With the stock exhaust, the car became so muted that it seemed to be more like an economy car (at this point, the sound generator becomes more welcome).
With the stock crank pulley, revs built up and dropped much slower, resulting in a far less satisfying drive (the car seemed more lethargic, and throttle blips always seemed just a bit off).
With a weighted shift knob and MTEC springs, as well as TRD shifter, the gearbox feels much more crisp and satisfying (although perhaps harder to use for novice manual drivers or those accustomed to less effort).
The stock airbox has its pros and cons: ON the plus side, it doesn't have the random stalling issues that the Injen gave me, but on the minus, the Injen did make the torque dip less apparent, and gave the engine a more enjoyable sound (especially paired with the axleback).

My car was only lightly-modified, but a few choice mods could do so much to improve the car, that I'd highly recommend any 86 owner to take the plunge.
Hopefully, in the near future, I will be able to rejoin the fold (both my wife and I absolutely adored the car, and we were both sad to see it go). If that happens, we've already agreed to keep it forever.

All good things come to an end, but my life was certainly more interesting and enjoyable for having the BRZ!
