Stock wheels on FRS

Hey everyone,
I am looking into getting a used FRS and just have one question. I noticed that several of the ones I’ve found online have black wheels - and I am almost positive that the previous owners used plasti-dip on them - but I wanted to make sure. None of the FRS’s come with black wheels from the factory, correct? This will help base my decision on which particular one I should get. Thanks.

Hi Abbymahoney and welcome to .......The Forum .......

As far as I know, none of the 2013 FR-Ss came from the factory with all black wheels. I don't know about the other years and special editions ......

As you may know, even if the owner had plastic-dipped the wheels, it's just a 2-3 beer job to peel it off .....

Thanks so much! Yes, it seems that the few I looked at with black wheels were plasti-dipped from previous owners. I plan on purchasing an FRS tomorrow and plasti-dipping the wheels black. Thanks for your help.

You're quite welcome.

Pre-congratulations on your purchase.......

Just put winter tires on it if you are going to drive it in the snow; follow the maintenance schedule; put only hi-test top tier gas in it ....... and ...... stay far back from parking stops.

The RS 2s had black wheels but they were a whole different style.

Just want to note that the BRZ Hyperblue came with black OEM type wheels from the factory. It's unlikely that the owner bought wheels from a hyperblue and switched out the centercaps though.
