So I had an interesting weekend. I've talked about my beard before and mentioned making my own beard oil. Well, I was successful in that endeavor, though it was an expensive one. I posted about it on Instagram and two guys immediately wanted to buy some, one of whom owns his own beard product company and makes his own stuff, which he sells rather successfully.

So, I had them paypal me and I sent them a bottle each. And they both absolutely loved it. I'm blown away by their reactions because I actually very little effort into this, and almost no trial and error. I never planned on making this a business, but I am going to try and sell some more to at least recoup the costs. If it gets popular I might have to turn it into a business.

That's awesome. One of our production guys is into trucks and makes his own wiring harness that he sells to turn the side mirror lights on late model Ram trucks into running lights. I didn't think anything of it until he told me he has sold over a thousand of them in a couple years. Not a bad side gig that he does on his breaks here at work.

Always thought about trying an oil, because I've tried not shaving to see how long I could go to grow a beard, but always get too irritated so I shave it back off.

That's pretty cool, definitely a cool side money-maker!

Bought a $19 digital tv antenna and get all 4 major networks clear as a bell. major networks are all I watch on the dish, stream everything else. Ditching the $60/month dish. That will buy a lot of streaming shows, movies, sports, and faster internet. Yay!

Yeah, if I do this I definitely don't want to get big. Small batch is pretty easy, but I've seen the work the bigger guys put in and I'm too lazy for all that.

Yeah man, definitely try an oil. It completely eliminates the itch. Beard oil, despite its name, is for your skin. Your beard sucks all the natural oil out of your skin and leaves it dry, which is why it itches.

I've done the math on how to break even. If I hit that mark quickly, I might make up another batch and keep going.

Do you follow that logic?
NO!

OK, I looked at the picture - what does it do?

The secret is to spray WD-40 on your whiskers at day four. Then, at day eight, apply 3-n-1 oil. After a month use bear grease along with glycerin bay rum (to cover up the stench). If necessary, apply a dab of methyl parathion behind your ears to kill off the flies.
