They really messed up on the headlights. I feel i would like them better if they were bigger.

Side note: no care for Duran Duran, wtf are they thinking?

Cool. Looks like the current model. They made it sharper and edgier.

I'll pass.

Autoblog is reporting that Mazda confirmed the car lost ~220 lbs
Quote:
Ladies and gentlemen, meet the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata. The highly anticipated fourth-generation (ND) model made its official debut in Monterey, CA this evening, and while details are slim as of this writing, there's one big thing to talk about: less weight.

Yes, Mazda has confirmed that the new Miata sheds some 220 pounds over the model it replaces, and is "the most compact of any generation MX-5 so far." For those keeping track, that means the new MX-5 should weigh somewhere around 2,200 pounds.

Side shot looks a hell of a lot like the NA/NB. Tail lights look like a cross between the RX-8 and F-Type. Front end looks weird in the official photos on the site compared to the leaked photo on jalopnik (think the lighting in the official photos screws up the body lines...)

Interior still looks cramped though...

They hyped the shit out of this and dropped the ball, or at least allowed the auto-journo's to hype the shit out of it.

Would be better received if they had just called it what it was: a styling unveiling, removed any pretense of giving us hard information.

I'll believe a sub 2,300 lb curb weight when I see it on an official Mazda release.
