Swapping to smaller hydraulics would make it more heavy throughout the entire pedal travel but the spring would still have that pivot point that screws with the linearity. For me it isn't about the weight but they annoying pivot point where it's soft near the floor and as you release the clutch you reach a point where it springs up. If it sprung up just after full engagement it probably wouldn't be as annoying.

as much fun as i have puttering around town in the ND, its a non starter since that cockpit is a joke and im barely 6' tall. that transmission hump also takes up half the freakin' passenger's foot room. much prefer the NC interior. if OP is 6'2" and considering the ND (correct me if im wrong?) he's either all torso or not really 6'2" lol.
I’m 6’2, 180, no reason to bs. I’ve met a couple guys taller than me who somehow fit. I personally think I’m limit. I’ve never measured my torso, but I feel I have long torso and legs, lol. You gotta play with seat but once you find it you can find very comfortable seating in drivers seat, at least I can. Not to mention aftermarket flat bottom steering wheel for knees. Yes, passengers room sucks, I don’t plan on riding there rarely ever. My car. This will be my second vehicle, not only. Hoping to test 86 soon to compare.

I felt ND shifts smooth and clutch was nice, that’s coming from rookie.

I know, but if you plan on taking a GF or wifey for a weekend trip, prepare to hear bitching about that trans hump.

You would think but, after many swaps, both with and without the spring, I regret removing mine.

Not much, though

My clutch / manual is stock. It feels fine to me. I drive another manual car (the last 11 years) , so is there something extra special (feeling) that I should be experiencing out of a clutch pedal ?
Some people don't do anything special with their left foot. You're not the target audience.

Great point, but she’s quite a bit shorter than me, she would be ok. 95% of time this car would be dd for fun. We have 2 other vehicles.

nah i hear ya. BMWs and Benzes i've driven with manual transmissions tend toward very smooth but long shift throws.

never driven a porsche but i'd be disappointed if its the same kind of feel.

When I went from a Miata NC to the FR-S, I did notice a big difference as to where the clutch took hold or released. The NC was nearer the floor, the FR-S was nearer the top. It did some take some getten used to.......

mrs humfrz rode shotgun in our NC for 80 some thousand miles and never complained about the transmission hump.

However, maybe she was more concerned about my driving .........
