Square Size Tires and Stagered Wheels

I am curious if there is anything wrong with doing the same sized tires on say a 8.5/9.5 staggered set up. On my G35C I hated not being able to truly rotate the tires and I can have them pulled off to rotate if they are the same. I searched but couldn't find anything that helped. Thanks!

Handling will change; you will add understeer by staggering the rear...among other things, but that's where we should start.

I'm curious too. @OrbitalEllipses are you sure about understeer? He's running the same tire all around, so the rear is going to stretch vs the front.

Just want clarification

You'll change how the tire reacts under load by having one stretched more than the other. With a mild stretch it'll react more immediately, but also won't be as forgiving. Similar effect to having a stiffer sidewall.
