Thanks for the input guys. Sorry was busy with college but it definitely looks like I do have a lot of researching to do.

Welcome to my world . I have Universit too @Team86
Money for school goes first, then car. Seriously, don't jump into more than 350whp. Get it small and later on upgrade. |

You don't necessarily have to go E85 to reach 400whp safely. There are a few ways to get there, yes E85 is one. Pump Gas (93) + WaterMeth can also get you there.
I think there are a few guys how have reached 400 on pump gas alone. This isn't something that I would personally recommend but it has been done.

@Mikeez yeah thats right have to pay student loans too lol. I think I might go with the FullBlown Stage 1 Base turbo kit at around 9 PSI running E85 to get around 350whp. Heard that you don't have to upgrade a lot of other parts and it's a simple bolt on kit which also sounds good.

I remember college. I went through the same struggle haha. I decided to go the safer route and do a Jackson racing supercharger and was real happy. A friend with the same car went turbo and blew his motor. These were civic si's.
I ended up needing money for school the following year and sold the supercharger kit. Supercharger kits hold their value far better than a turbo kit. Just something to consider. |

Buddy, seriously you are on the same map as me. Check out my thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75626 people on here helped me. I am going Fullblown Stage 1, 7-9psi (GTX28) You just have to buy the kit and upgrade the clutch. Don't use E85 unless you track or race lol.... Stay pump gas or else you will have to tune your car for both 91 and E95 fuel.. which is pointless for a student (LIKE ME) 1. Keep it 91/93 2. Keep I 7-9-12 psi MAX 3. Clutch IF AND ONLY IF you live in hot area... You like to get your RPM all the way up to 7k... Get oilcooler. Very important oilcooler The rest is optional. I shift at 2.5-3k and when I race people I shift at 5-6.5k joke Where do you live? What you study in? PM =p |

Technically, they are bolt on as they are classified as bolt on.... Of course there are major modifications that has to be done. But the kit is classified as bolt on kit. I hope repeating made you understand. So please, be useful. Quote:

No thanks. It's my life and my car. Don't tell me how to live my life. It's crazy how people say this I mean is it because they're older than me and/or have more experience. smh. |

1.) Being older and having more vehicles and real life experience does in fact hold truth that's reality. 2.) You made the thread, initially that shows you don't understand the path needed, correct? If you didn't want suggestions or opinions then next time don't post since it's "'your life" and apparently you know best.
