oCarbon custom CF trim for my BRZ - build thread

**Pricing is $800 for the full set!** - email matt@oCarbon.com

Officially having oCarbon, a US company, custom build some carbon fiber trim for my BRZ. They will use original core trim pieces to make molds and wrap them in their usual quality product. I will have many more details and progress updates.

If you have any interest in having this done for your FR-S / BRZ, please pm me for now.

I am having the following done in CF:
-Door handles
-knee bolster trim pieces
-shifter surround
-steering wheel trim
-nav unit surround
-passenger side dash piece
-vent rings

Why bother - there are plenty of commercial options available already?

Pictures will come! A core set of trim pieces is on it's way to oCarbon. Still a ways from having any pics.

I was interested in doing carbon trimming but didn't like that most of the pieces advertised were just covers w/ adhesives that go over the existing OEM parts. The molds, in particular for the door handle, are going to be a composite strong enough to endure everyday use (pulling etc.)? I assumed this is what you meant, apologies if I misunderstood. I can't help being curious haha

I opted to skip doing anything for the door handles, the chrome pull piece is really the only thing that shows, and I do not have a problem with it.

Understandable. I'm gonna check back for sure. This is one of those things that I really want but just a little expensive for something purely aesthetic. My concerns were similar to yours, I wanted the trim but preferred it be OEM quality and fitment. I might have to follow suit :happy0180:

So is it going to be a overlay piece to stick on or a replacement part or a overlay service

They sand down and wrap the "cores" (the actual OEM trim pieces) with the CF weave and color of your choice, then they coat it in the resin. They will be making molds to match the exact size and fitment of the OEM trim, to ensure a proper oem fit.

How their service works:
You order a "kit/set" of trim pieces with your specifications. They use a set of core pieces they have to make your trim, when finished they send it to you. You then send them your core trim in return (for them to use for the next customer.)

NOT an overlay, not an overlay service, truly OEM fit trim pieces made custom to your specifications.
