Thanks bro. I'll keep the carbotechs in mind.

The stock brakes work fine under light/medium track use with upgraded pads and fluid. Just want something that looks better without breaking the bank on that part of the car, and if pads are then easier to swap out without having to unbolt the caliper, even better. Don't want STI Brembo's because of the heavy front rotors and the Subaru 4/2 pots leave me wanting a little more. Therefore... just looking for lightweight aftermarket calipers. |

To everyone upgrading brakes.... Have you upgraded tires yet? Upgrading tires should be number one as its the only thing touching the ground from the car. Upgraded brakes with stock tires are a waste of money as you out brake the stock tires with stock brakes as it is now.

Can I ask the reverse question? Which affordable slotted/drilled rotors are best for the fronts with everything else stock? For look/function.

Mine are lower spec brakes so USR729 rotors are used. But for 294mm rotors, USR972 should be used. |

I highly recommend Project Mu HC+800 street/track pads. They're carbon metallic so initial bite is pretty good. It also has tad higher friction coefficient than carbotechs. The only downside is you get little noise when not bedded properly.

Whichever the US spec FR-S is equipped with. Not interested in pads atm as all my extra money is still going into cosmetics, track use later. You liked the EBC rotors though?
