FWIW we have the Britax B-Safe and I tried this a few weeks ago. It was tight. I would not recommend this car seat if you were using it in the BRZ. It works on the rare occasion but is a true PITA and honestly felt dangerous.

I use a suction cup attached ski rack on the roof. Secured baby seat to ski rack with bungie cords and gorilla tape.

we never tried an infant seat as my kids were 3 and 5 when i bought the car, and before buying we tried out a britax marathon which fit nicely

when i got the car i had to scrap the britax seats as they were in an accident, and bought two radian r100

you can see them in this post

I have a Clek Foonf that I tried installing in rear facing, but it was pretty much impossible.....

But I think it's pretty much a given that most forward facing installations shouldn't be a problem.....

The CIA are shipping FRS's to hot spots in the middle east. They say a long drive in the back seat works better than water boarding for interrogation, buy a WRX for your kids sanity. I'm going on 2 years and never even attempted to climb back there and I only weigh 160lbs..

I dont have a picture to upload right now but when my wife's Volvo is not immediatly available we take our kids in the BRZ (15 months and 3 years).

I'm 6'2" and my son sits behind me in a graco upright (googled an image below)

my daughter sits in an inclined seat by graco. My wife is only 5'4" so she just moves her seat up a bit.

The BRZ only takes the family once a month if that and just the kids maybe once every other week. So far we have had no problems at all.

Not useful because I genuinely care about children? Honestly remember when you were a kid, would you want to be suffocating in the backseat of a twin?

Maybe I'm unusual but I remember being straped in the back seat of my dad's 260Z at 3-4 yo, it was unbearable. Loved the day he bought a BMW 320i. Hated japanese sports cars as a tween/teenager till I drove a Silvia in my 20's.

Seriously consider a 1 series wrx, 'stange, gen coupe, etc if you have kids, that newborn may grow faster than you can afford a bigger car.

We don't genuinely care about our children? Did you really just imply that? You do know the seats consume less space as the kid gets bigger, right? The kid's space is limited by the seat until they can jump to a booster. Even then, I don't think any of us are hauling the family cross country in the twins. If it is more than myself and my daughter, we'll take the Rav. If it is just the two of us, there is plenty of space.

Not saying that just saying that, some kids are claustrophobic as I was. My personal opinion is that the backseat is for an occasional jaunt for someone in a pinch. I guess if your kids don't show signs of discomfort or being smothered/trapped , but I just think there when there are better alternatives. I don't claim to be an expert in child psychology, just bad memories of that 260Z. Sorry.
