Thank you. It is unlikely we will split up a kit as we order the entire kits. If we see enough of a demand for this we may open up that option but for now, they'll be sold as a full set. They will be fairly priced in our opinion as well.

One big goal was steering clear of the under hood structural ridges .

Should have bare units late next week, early the week after.

Thanks for the response. I did a quick mockup of what it would look like with either the inner or outer pair instead of all four to gauge interest.

(Sorry for the poor quality, just airbrushed the pic in Paint)

Could you not have it just run over the structural section? After the hole is cut one could put on some black vinyl or paint on the rib. This would allow for better ventilation, the looks some are after, and you aren't removing any structure. Let me know (here or through PM) what you think of this idea.

Thanks,
MemphisR

We're going to stick with this design for a bit before designing a new one.

Yes, they can.

Always up for a new challenge. PM us what you had in mind if possible.

@VeloxEric

You guys did an analysis of the low pressure zones to find the best fit on the hood...

what kind of magnification could we see in terms of temp decrease if we paired this with front aero?

All testing was done with our front splitter on the car. I can't even hint at knowing what would happen to temperatures with a larger front splitter or without a splitter.

Units are nearly finished at the fabrication shop .

Do you have a picture of the rain guards on the hood? When installed, can we expect water to still leak in if parked in the rain? If so, are there any electronics underneath to be concerned about?

Without the rain guards, would any water leak in while driving at speed? For example, if it starts raining during a track session, should we pull into the paddock and install the guards?

I will work on getting these pictures for you. But to answer some of your questions:
-Yes, water will still come in. The covers are a trough, and thus just collect the rain and dump it forward. It dumps it further forward, somewhere around the radiator area.
-The only electronics would be the radiator fans, which are built to see water, as is all of the engine bay.
-It's hard to say if the rain water would come in at speed or not. The rain guards will dramatically reduce the ability to evacuate the heat and engine bay air pressure. Ultimately installing or leaving them off will be up to end user.
-Water in the engine bay is normal and completely fine. All electrical components in the engine bay are insulated from the elements.

Here's some updated photos for you guys. They came out better than we could have hoped for and we are extremely happy we went with the stud design over the button head cap screws.

We will be offering them raw and powder coated in a satin black. Raw units are on their way to @ft86 SpeedFactory already and will be available mid week. We're also going to start selling direct this year.

Close up of the studs, as near flush as we could have hoped for .

Rain guard "installed" on bottom side of louver. These are an add on and will all be powder coated a satin black. They can be removed/installed with (4) nuts, very painless.

Raw units are available immediately, black powder coated units will be available in the next few weeks. Thanks everyone!
