It's not as loud or pronounced as yours was in your audio, but maybe take another listen?
I hear them very faint and you really have to strain to hear it. Not sure I would have caught it if I didn't know it may be there and it could actually be something totally different. On the rare occasions I get them they are far, far, far worse than that. Even worse than Steven's recording. I would not worry one little bit with what yours does since you have to know what you are looking for to hear it at all.

They are just baby crickets and as long as they don't grow up all is good.

2017 Toyota 86 with ~500 miles and no chirp that I hear or recognize yet.... Car was built in August 2016. Now how is that a 2017 model ? I will wait longer before I vote though. Using only 91 or higher octane non ethanol too. Might slip in a bit of Mercury 2 stroke oil for preventive wishing !!

Model year means exactly that. When the next model years are released as early as June of the year before then of course they are built that year.
Do not start pouring shit into your gas tank. It is not a two stroke engine and contrary to some unconfirmed statements it won't do a thing.

Yep, the first 2013 BRZ rolled off the line 03/12/2012.
