LOL

While the power in the Vette is awesome its handling capabilities are down right scary.

Taking a corner a 60+mph and not even sliding a little is enough to have made several of my passengers yell at me

It really is a car that has to be tracked in order to even get close to exploiting its capabilities, specially with the Z51 package.

16" wheels to make the base price cheaper, or take those savings and put it into a tad more sound dampening on the floors

As for topic, maybe tiny bit more sound insulation + STI nuts & bolts & spacer on suspension. I mean it's nuts & bolts.... I don't think they cost a dime more then oem nuts & bolts, why charge me twice with premuim+shipping.

Oh yeah & OEM 16" wheels

This thread is the living embodiment of why cars like this aren't made anymore.

"Ooh a lightweight sports car, lets throw a bunch of luxury crap on it!"

Or.... Turn it into a factory built race car that would not pass any of the government regulations and would be doomed to sail around the continent on ships for eternity.

This car came exactly from the factory as it should.

Its a light weight, cheap, blank canvas sports car that lets you make it yours how ever you want.

I think it would've done well without the Scion branding though. I struggled a bit before buying mine. People who don't know about cars frequently remark about how ugly their other cars are.

I agree the car is near perfection from factory. But this car is the first car I decided to mod and most of my mods are aesthetic upgrades to a fantastically shaped sports car. I had a more powerful coupe that drove with so much isolation and luxury and I hated it after months of ownership. Why? Because if I drove it aggressively I would easily get a huge ticket and to top it off traffic always held me back anyways. It also lacked the feeling I wanted out of a sports coupe too. That's when it dawned on me that big power wasn't important. But a fun chassis is way more important. You live and you learn!
