I made it passed my 5 day crash hurtle! (Fingers forever crossed)

Well the story goes like this. In early 2012 I bought a cherry S2000. 5 days after buying that awesome car (the first car I every tried to finance btw) I was t-boned in an intersection and it damaged the frame bad enough to total the car.

That experience taught me several things. The main two being that a 240 hp, rear wheel drive, 2800 lb car is my shit and convertibles are actually pretty awesome.

So now 2 years later I finally got another car that is almost the same thing as that S2000. Minus the convertible top and add traction control I am very happy with my 2014 monogram. It's fun as shit to drive, can wait until it is broken in enough to drive it a little harder!

Check it out:

Ever see the interior of a S2000? It's cramped and (aside from the start button & digital speedo) looks ancient.

OP, good luck with the FR-S!!!

The ap1 s2000's did not have traction.....which kinda made it harder to drive. You really had to be up on the wheel ready to drive it because it slid out as much as the frs does without traction turned on...in the 5 days I had it, I spun it out twice not even trying....

I also agree that the interior was a bit cramped. The frs is much better. But in the s2000's defense, it was 11 years old when I bought it, lol.

.........
Well, mattbenich ...... this just may be the car for you.

With less power than the s2k, you won't reach the intersections as soon .... allowing the reckless drivers a chance to have passed on through....

I agree, I am enjoying this car very much over my S2000, but it may because I only had the car for 5 days and the crash left a bad taste in my mouth, not because of the car, but just cars in general.

I found this video that was kind of interesting....check it out:

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jImHTWfj8aM"]FRS (GT86, BRZ) vs RX8 vs S2000 Review - Everyday Driver - YouTube[/ame]

I still feel that the FRS is more unique, more roomy and has more sensibility than my S2000, traction control being a large portion of that...

They bought and drilled the mount before I bought the car...I don't know why, but they do it to all new cars...
