STOCK - Condensation issues
VALENTI - Both condensation and faulty leds
BUDDY CLUB - Melting issues
TOMS - Melting issues

Guess I should have went with my gut on the Intecs as my next tail light option
Smoked stocks are still my favorite with upgraded gaskets
Defective Valenti's were replaced with an updated version. I've not heard of any issues since this batch was released in November i believe.

Agreed! My first aftermarket set were these and had zero issues. Still one the better tail light options out there and great price when compared to the more expensive Tom's or Buddy Club

I'm guessing by the lack of posts that is a minor problem and only affects a very small percentage of Toms owners as suggested by one of the forum vendors

Is this a melting issue that occurs DURING use, or a something during the manufacturing process that melted that area? there's a big difference. if it's a pre-existing condition then there's no danger of fire.

So far it looks like just the Clear toms. But everyone with clear toms that has reported so far has the issue.

During use, the hole is not there from the factory, but its obviously caused by something made wrong. It was mentioned a piece of metal is causing it that doesnt belong, but I can't tell without cutting it open to find out.

OEM or not, part of the process of a car manufacturer is sourcing and testing the parts from 3rd party suppliers to meet/exceed testing standards, which usually is at least the base warranty period.

OEM is great from a marketing perspective, but if no real testing was done on the lights other than in a controlled environment, there may be design or manufacturing flaws that show up after time.

It's why the first batch of stock taillights leaked, it was an overtorque situation with the factory install that could not have been replicated under any condition other than regular usage by end users.

According this thread, I saw at least two owners with clear Toms and no issues, correct me if I'm wrong ?
