That's actually a slight change we did. We weren't digging the black hex head screws. Looks better in person, more finished

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the top side of it is 3m taped right? While the back side is screwed in?

No, it's has big holes drilled in, threaded inserts and bolts that go in. You wouldn't want to use 3m tape, it would blow right off from the airflow. The spoiler is rock solid. I've done a lot of car mods in my life, but I wouldn't have attempted to do it to her car, looked like a very small window between perfection and complete "what have I done". Perrin did a really good job. Even with a template I would think it would be a little sketch at best.

Just wondering if you can explain why I have had my STI Gurney flap attached to the wing of my BRZ which I aquired in 2012 and have raced, auto crossed, and driven more than 20K miles (which you say will blow right off from the airflow if only attached with 3M tape as mine is)

I don't know what material the sti flap is made of, I know the Perrin is a hard piece of metal that doesnt flex. The 3m tape is always going to be the weakest part of the system structure wise. Second, the sti flap slopes up slightly so the airflow can continue over the trunk and transition over the flap. The Perrin one goes straight up, creating a pinch point of the flow. The amount of drag and turbulence right there would be too much for tape.
