I usually use Agundis Tire in SSF for my alignment and tire needs. Prices are alright, but they've always treated me pretty well.

I've had very good luck with AVN Motorsports in Alameda. Never bought tires there since I like going with TR but they've done all my mounting and balancing for very reasonable price (compared to Big-O-Ripoff down the street)

So AutoRnD got back to me and said to just buy the tires from Tire Rack and shipped to them for install. 😂

At least I tried to keep it local. 😬

Hm, that is surprising. Maybe Hankook is just a brand that they don't regularly carry?

Every independent shop I've contacted just buys from Tire Rack anyway, half of them are upfront about it and will say "Listen, whether you push the button to order them or I do doesn't matter to me"

Maybe if all you do is commute back and forth to work at 20 mph, but if you are capable of driving worth a damn you can spin a lot of tire with 'just 200hp'

Yep, that's usually the case. Not very often do tire shops keep "specialty" tires in stock, just the most common cheap ones for those who have flats that just want em fixed.

I got my tires when I got new wheels, and had them done at Elite Performance in Burlingame also. I ordered the tires Tuesday and got everything installed the following Thursday!

If you have a Costco membership they usually beat out Tire Rack by a few bucks, usually via cheap installs at ~$20/wheel, got my PSS during a Michelin $70 off promotion at <$600 fully installed, they can also get any Bridgestone tire, even RE71R's.

The only downside is they're hesitant to use non-approved sizes, although they will replace a tire with the same size, and they don't spend much time balancing the wheels accurately, expect a medium sized strip of wheel weights attached. Probably my go-to for street tires from here on out.

Elite Performance. They match tirerack price, and they took great care installing my wheels and carefully wrapping my old wheels in plastic bags so it doesn't scuff my interior.

Has anyone used On Site Tires? They are a local NASA sponsor and have great reviews online. I've never used them, but plan to in the future. I've talked with them at the local track while supporting a friend in a race and they were very willing to help us out in an unconventional way. It made a pretty good impact on me, so I'd like to check 'em out sometime.

I tried Costco before but they wouldn't touch my car since I don't have stock wheels. Ended up just paying for the tires and had Roger Kraus Racimg install them.
