Amp no sound

*SOLUTION* Turn power off.
Click and hold the main menu nob down.
Goto to Sub W setting turn on. Happy beats.!

I know my amp is wired and works but not in my FRS. Does anyone know if there is a setting on the stock HU I missed?
Any help greatly appreciated!

You'll have to be a little more specific with how you've hooked things up.

If you're talking sub amp and you used the pre-outs on the deck then yes you will need to turn on the pre-outs via the menu.

Sorry I have the upgraded HU, not sure how to enable it on the base one. The manual is probably your best bet.

I can't find it now, but I know the instructions are on the forum. I'm pretty sure it is one of those settings that you get to by pressing the right keys with the H/U off.

Found it:

"Before putting everything back in, I turned on the stereo to make sure it all worked. Nothing was happening. I am pretty certain with my wiring abilities since my multimeter was giving me good readings throughout the install. Then it hit me. You have to turn on Subwoofer control from the head unit to send signals through the pre-out. With the head unit powered off, press the large knob to access the menu and go the the Sub-W section and turn it on.

HOLY @#$%! I guess I should have turned the volume down before doing that. I almost crapped myself when the stereo turned on. Needless to say, it worked. "

OMG! I thought my RCA out was broken. I installed my stereo last weekend. No sound! AAAAAAAAGH!!!!! I have installed dozens of stereos, and this was the first time I couldn't get one to work. I was looking for this information, and even posted on a thread to try and get help. I eventually spliced the small amps input to a RCA cable. Now I can hook it up right. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: Tried this. Still did not work. Oh well, found a kenwood touch screen for $150 off craigslist. Good buy crappy pioneer.
