Michelin question

Aloha,
I'm ready for my second set of tires on my '15 frs. Costco has a sale on Michelin and I wanted advice on which ones. I'm trying to decide between
1. Pilot sport 4S
2. Pilot sport cup 2
3.pilot sport 3

The sport cup 2 looks the stickiest but looking for guidance.

4S! It's the Super Sport's replacement Probably the best all around tire. Master of most trades, failure at one (winter)

Aloha! My family lives in Kukuihaele. The front yard overlooks Waipio valley.

I would also suggest the MPS4S.

I see your avatar is the RT615K+. Is that what you are running on your car. I just picked up a pair and so far I like them. Will not have an autox event until November though. Can't wait to see how this car is with some real tires.

I've been running them for some time, I am not on them at the moment though. They are amazing on this car in my opinion, but they do tend to be greasy when over heated. I run them at about 30PSI in the front and 28 rear cold temps, they heat up nicely and have mad strong sidewalls, so you'll notice more lean if you don't have upgraded sways / suspension. I love these tires and will buy them again if the tires my wheels came with can't hang.

I've been running Azenis on every decent car I've owned since about 2011. They've come a very long way and will always be an autocross favorite of mine. The real downside is their greasy nature when over heated, an obviously they're not strong in temps under 60 degrees. I still think the Michelins are a better tire, but I can't stop running the Azenis, I like the hard sidewall.

My understanding is the + version solved a lot of the over temp issues. I’ve always used UHP tires on my cars but when I got the FRS the previous owner put some trash 600tw tires on it. So it’s taking a while to get used to the car actually having some grip. I had a lot of fun drifting the car all over the place but having grip is also fun. Hahaha

I’ve owned a ton of tires though the years all the way back to Dunlop SP8000, BFG R1s, several sets of Bridgestone S02’s, some Khumos (regretted big time). My past 5 sets of tires were the Dunlop Z1, Z1 StartSpec, Z2 and Z2 Star Spec. They were great tires. Hope I don’t regret switching to these Falkens.
