Brought my FR-S in to get the ECM updated. When I got the car back I noticed that the service tech had put 7 miles on the car. Has anyone else who had the update done notice if the tech put any miles on your car? I wonder if it states in the service bulletin to test drive the car after the update?

If not, then I'm pretty mad that someone took my car for a joyride.

Being a technician myself, the only reason I see necessary to test drive after an ECM re-flash is if the vehicle presents difficulty re-learning parameters. Example: rough idle. In the repair manual, they usually want a technician to drive for 20 minutes or so depending on the vehicle. Another factor is was it driven in the city, or highway for that duration?

Or he wanted to drive it

I have this under Recalls in MySubaru. VIN 02883, located in MD.
Do you think it was done earlier in December? I live in MD too and i bought my BRZ on the 27th. Do you think it was replaced/checked already?

Go to that website. Sign up for an account. Enter a VIN. That's your Subaru site for YOUR car. There's a section called Recalls.

If there is an active Recall for your vehicle, it will show up under the Recalls section.
