Short dog-fence story.

Back on the farm, friends of my folks were moving to California so left their "cityfied" German shepherd dog with us on the farm.

The retarded dog chased every animal in sight.

One day, I took the dog rabbit hunting. Sure enough he kicked up a rabbit.

He was chasing it, going full speed, when the rabbit slipped through a line fence.

Either the dog didn't see the fence or ignored it, either way it hit it at full speed, being too big to make it through the openings.

Dog was OK, but was a bit more cautious about chasing things on the farm.

END OF SHORT STORY

Bummer.

I had a German Sheppard years ago that liked to dig under the fence in the backyard. I put up an electric wire 3 inches off the ground on the fence. She touched it one time with her nose and no more digging. I didn't even have to have it plugged in after that.

Wild day at the Wal-Mart grocery store today. I'm in line and the young gal in front of me with a infant in each arm is checking out (looked like twins). She can't find her wallet, and realized it was in the car. I could see the frustration as her tiny ones are pitching a fit. She only had like $12 in groceries. I interrupted and told her I got it, told the cashier to keep it open and just ring mind up on the same ticket. Felt good.

Then I'm leaving and this woman, looks early 60s, drives in front of the store and hits one of the car stopper poles they have in front of the walmart entrances. She is extremely well dressed and wasted out of her mind. Thank God she hit the pole and not a person(s).
Second time in like a month I've seen a middle aged wasted woman in those poles.

If you're feeling old what's that make me? Our oldest granddaughter is in her first year of college and will be 19 on her next birthday. BUT... the big news is that she has a one year old sister. Our first born is feeling her age too now. hehe Paybacks a bee-itch, eh!

Well, I had that look 10 years ago! -

I even have a 11 year old Saturn sedan that I drive sometimes, to compliment the look.

Yep, maybe it is time for a Buick -
