Alright so here it is, my mini review of my MAP Turbo kit
I was “ Interested “ in this kit since early December, and I started bugging Ian asking the most random question whom never ever was late for a reply. I wanted a top mounted kit, which made me cross out a few kits. I loved @FullBlown, hell I still do they do amazing things and also have great customer service ( I think it’s a MN thing.) My choices were slim, already having done a fa20crap kit; I knew not many options existed for big horsepower. Another reason I kept eyeing this kit is because my tuner recommended @MAPerformance stated having dealing with them for a few years. Lastly I also wanted to have something different and new? Few months later I was really set, and I just kept bugging Ian daily about his own kit. I loved the short routing with the setup, and it seems now that everybody knows that it is the way to go. I put my order late Jan or first of Feb, and the whole process took about one month, but I was also being super picky. Another reason for having such one-month wait time, which btw is not bad at all for the quality you get; is a few revisions happened to the manifold. In addition to all of that I ordered a lot of crap that wasn’t the regular kit @MAPerformance had in mind. 1 A gtx turbo 2 A 3” downpipe 3 Black wrinkle coating (cold) Ceramic coating (hot side) 4 many other little crap I even can’t remember. Throughout all this bitching and little things, Ian was glad to do every single thing and was excited just as much as I was, if not more. Kit arrives and boy was it well packed, hell I even hated unboxing that shit from how well everything was put together. I’m sure if I threw it off a plane nothing would happen. Mostly everything was there and perfect, only thing I disliked was my wrap I would’ve loved it in black, also the turbo blanket. We also had a few parts missing (All because I opted for a gtx turbo instead of a pt, but ill discuss that later.) It was amazing as I unpacked everything I was pleased with my choice and had a huge smile, but still grief that I coated the amazing welds (tell Andrew I’m sorry I’m sure he hates me.) I was supposed to do the install with my friend/mechanic ( @DAMotorsports) ,but ended traveling so everything I say bellow is based of what I was told. The kit fit perfectly, quality was top notch, and everything was going on how it was supposed to be other than a few little things that would be expected from the first kit leaving the door. But I would also recommend opting for the crash beam + upgraded your whole rad to @FullBlown ‘s setup which would gain you clearance from the turbo/fan which were close. Other than that only thing that was a pain during the install was putting the gtx on; we found out that we were missing the water hardware, tell Ian about it ofc and guess what? Parts were being flown by military planes or something, everything was arriving so freaking quick for no charge. Hell Ian was happy as he wanted to know how we could make this kit even better. Final thoughts after getting the car running now? Amazing. I have nothing but great experience with the whole process, yes it did take time ( my mistake) but god was it worth it. The kit is amazing, the short piping setup is the only way to go with this kit; in addition to @DeliciousTuning tune and a gtx3076 I’m getting amazing gas mileage even on freaking e85. Pros: Amazing customer service Amazing quality Great components for the price Short piping Great welds Cons: It’s a squeeze but that is nothing major I PAINTED THE FUCKING WELDS Had a few missing parts but then the amazing customer service made up for it A slimmer fan to gain more clearance on the turbo side, I’m sure there is a slimmer one. Long story short, if I had to do this all over again ( FI’ing my car) Id pick MAP’s turbo kit without even doubting my self. They provided everything I wanted, made a great kit and I know I’m in safe hands if something ever pops up. Ian would drop from a heli to deal with it. sogive them your money Thanks Ian, Andrew and guys over @MAPerformance ps:i didn't ever re read what i wrote; im tired and its friday

Well, the PTE4854 has been loads of fun, but its time to move on and do some more testing. We will be throwing on the PTE5858 next! I will be curious to see how this differs in response and power on pump gas vs the 4854. Stay tuned
