Can't remember if I posted this here. It's 5% carbon treated tint. I live in New Orleans, got pulled over once for tint but was let off with a warning. Cop saw my military plate and just wanted to chat really.

Formula One Pinnacle 30% Ceramic all around. $349 out the door from Sunbusters off Research Blvd and Duval in Austin, TX. Lifetime warranty, fantastic quality and the heat reduction is already noticeable.

Was thinking about 30-35% in the front and 20% in back, but then decided to do 20% all around. Looks cleaner this way I think!

Tint Brand: Madico
Tint%: 20% All around
Shop Name: Perfect Window Tint. Santa Ana, CA
$180 OTD

The shop is really good! Going back to do the windshield later!

55% front, 35% rear. I like the look of light tint, goes well with whiteout.

I have:

3M Crystalline
CR70 (70% visible light transmitted)
Campbell Window Film (Huntington Beach, CA)
$775 (every window including front windshield)

Honestly, best thing I've ever done. I specifically chose CR70 because the look is deceiving... you can't tell the windshield is tinted, and the sides are light enough where at night, it does not impair my driving ability.

Plus, at night you can clearly see into my car and during the day there's virtually no heat coming in.

Long story short: you can do anything you want in the windows behind you. The two front windows + windshield can be tinted with UV film only, no light reduction (i.e. color/shade of any kind).

They are quite pricey though. (I got quoted for $250 for just the windshield).
Just got my entire car done with 3M Crystalline. $750.

Any tint shop that actually knows what they are doing won't have an issue with frameless car windows.

Figured I'd bring this thread back from the dead...

Anyone know of where you can buy the film itself? I'd like 3M and I've done it myself on my old car and would like to save the money on this one, too.

Angle, lighting, glare, weather, tint brand, camera quality, etc. The only reliable way to compare opacities is to see in person
