Question Best light weight racing wheel?

What's your guy's opinion on a good lightweight racing wheel? I can't see myself paying thousands of dollars for a wheel that doesn't shed unsprung weight from my car.

I wouldn't mind the wheels looking good either

I was looking at HRE's but they're really expensive -- would be worth it though!

I have been searching for awhile honestly. Couldn't find a thread asking this specific question so I made one. Lol

Nothing wrong with a little racing wheel discussion

From cheap to expensive, my personal favorites;

Enkei RPF1
O.Z. Ultraleggera
Wedssport TC105N
TWS T66-F

They get lighter as you go down the list as well..

Lightweight racing wheel = anything that is 1-piece forged.
Cast or any other type of semi-formed wheel need not apply.

Mach v awesomes look good and are fairly light for a 17x9 flow formed wheel.

the RPF1 is probably the cheapest light weight wheel on the market from a reputable manufacturer in regards to price and weight (no research done on this statement so correct me if I'm wrong), which is probably why you see it everywhere lol. I do like the look of it though, but I kind of wish I went with a 17x9 instead of 17x8 so I get the flat face instead of the curved face. but I really don't need that much tire so who knows... I got used to it anyways

With that being said, all the above choices are fine (I use OZ Ultraleggara), but also remember that wider and stickier rubber also weighs more than OE rubber, taking away from your net savings

Weds Sports TC105N are on TOP of the list. Especially for the price.

You can run 17x9.0 +35 squared. Or a more safe fit on the fenders will be 17x8.0 +42(14.88 lbs) Front | 17x9.0 +35 (15.76 lbs) Rear

I can't say I'm really a fan of the RPF1's. If I had a side project car where I wasn't too worried about the looks I would snatch some up but I want something a little different. :P

I went to their site and it doesn't look like you can get them in gunmetal or black which was kind of what I was looking for :/

As OP had brought up costs, my bet that cast RPF1 & K4R will fit him better then forged ones.
