Ya... the latest STI "concept". At least the front looks slightly better.

TBH tho, knowing Subaru, I'm sure this "design exercise" will be so diluted once it actually goes into production, maybe it would be tolerable. Maybe since it's so extreme, the dilution would be something with more character as opposed to...

Knock $5k off and I could understand that STI hype but come on, it's an economy car with 300 hp

Yeah, my assumption is that the one thing on the production car that will look like the concept is the grill.

Why this subie and also Type R looks like they gave a bunch of crayons to 5yo and told him to draw a "cool race car"? New design trend in Japan?

Garage

That has some of the most ugly wheel wells I've ever seen.

I kind of like the rear design actually just that wing looks goofy.

Who would think those headlights look okay and approve it?

I think I found the person who approved this concept design.

Fresh hires from the Tokyo Bosozoku School of Design? Just needs wheels and lightning bolt exhaust and you are ready for the Wangan!

Noriyaro put out a video last week of some kind of Bosozoku meet in Japan. Those guys are ridiculous but pretty fun to see what they do.

The back end is like a combo pizza that forgot to stop adding ingredients to the combo but I really can't take the wheel arches. It's like they wanted angles and shapes but throw in a few curves on the body. Hey man let's take an octagon and use that as the wheel well! Oh and the 4th brake light on the diffuser? Let's use the deformed baby of a rhombus and a trapezoid within itself. Angles bro!

I can haz post in NorCal OT?

Bosozoku is fun like Albuquerque art cars. All about that sense of humor. Much better than C&C with Mustang Meat Heads.
